I'm a visual artist and a teacher of arts and media. I have mainly been working with sculpture installations and net art, and am also using the city space. It's very important for me to locate my art in sites where they are near to people. Temporary, sometimes really small-scale things in the city space/on the web or permanent sculptures in public places are my main interests. Previously I worked a lot with gallery exhibitions, but nowadays the exhibitions are not so important for me. I want to surprise the viewer, which is not so easy task in the gallery space, where everybody thinks "this is art, because it's here"

In my art I scrutinize broadly the life of contemporary people in urban environment. I am interested in the relations of human, animal and technology, and have been working with science fiction related themes for some years. I live in Turku, a city in Southern Finland with my husband John, sons Matias and Juhana and Airedale terrier Siri, a search dog whose training is my dear hobby.
