I'm a visual artist and a teacher of arts and media. I have mainly been working with sculpture installations and net art, and am also using the city space. I feel very important to locate my art in sites where it is near to people. My main interests include temporary, sometimes really small-scale things in the city space / on the web and permanent sculptures in public places. Previously I worked a lot with gallery exhibitions, but nowadays the exhibitions are not so important for me. I want to surprise the viewer, which is not so easy task in the gallery space, where everybody think "this is art, because it's here". In 2010 I started to work with my doctoral thesis which discusses the possibilities of art with hidden art status.

I live in Turku, a city in Southern Finland with my husband John, sons Matias and Juhana and Airedale terrier Siri, a search dog whose training is my dear hobby.
