Exhibitions
2000-2007
These years I worked mainly with sculpture installations dealing with science
fiction themes. I had two "exhibition trilogies" in the spirit of
pulp fiction stories,
in which I wanted to make multisensory spaces so that the visitor could dive
into the home-made world of fiction. I call those works "pulp sculpture" because of their
fast & easy nature.
Web
Projects 2004-2007
I love web art because it is so wonderful way to create communication based
works. It is also good platform for story oriented working and
can thus extend nicely the exhibitions. Some of my web art pieces are
connected to the exhibitions but some are individual works,
which
usually
are
built of
material I have collected from people on the Web or in physical reality. In the
future I'm going to concentrate more on web art, but that will happen under
the Crow Strategy - so there you can find the newest works!
Public
Art 1998-
So far I haven't got very many opportunities to make permanent works in public
spaces. I hope it would be possible in the future to make plenty of that
kind of work, because the relationship of art piece and its environment &
users is one of my main interests. On-site works suit also fine in the philosophy
of the Crow Strategy, which will define my working after summer 2007.
The
Crow Strategy 2007-
This strategy is a platform for my new work, which will happen
mainly on the web and in the city space. The technics and themes of the works
will vary more than in my old works, and my aim is to make more immaterial,
"happening" works, not just still objects.
